Lindsay Lohan Will Voice Maggie Simpson in New Simpsons Episode

Lindsay Lohan voice a version of Maggie Simpson on a new episode of The Simpsons set to air this Sunday.

The Parent Trap actress revealed her upcoming role in a post on Instagram, writing, ““Catch me on #TheSimpsons this Sunday on FOX! What a dream come true to be part of this iconic family.” In the another post, she shared a brief teaser so her fans can know what to expect.

Lohan will appear as Future Maggie in the series’ Season 37 episode “Parahormonal Activity,” which airs on December 14th at 8 P.M. eastern.

Lohan’s casting is somewhat ironic, considering that actress Elizabeth Taylor voiced Baby Maggie in the 1992 episode “Lisa’s First Word,” which was 20 years before Lohan played Taylor in the Lifetime biopic Liz & Dick in 2012.

In August, Lohan spoke about the types of roles that she’s received throughout her career, believing that she’s been pigeonholded.

“I was so thrilled to work on A Prairie Home Companion, and yet even today I have to fight for stuff that is like that, which is frustrating,” Lohan said to The Times U.K.. “Because, well, you know me as this—but you also know I can do that. So let me! Give me the chance. I have to break that cycle and open doors to something else, leaving people no choice. And in due time, if Martin Scorsese reaches out, I’m not going to say no.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Lohan explained why she took a lengthy break from Hollywood. “I wanted to take a minute,” Lohan said. “I was losing that feeling of excitement about doing a film, and I wanted to live my own life for a bit, figure out how to have a more private life, a real life. I wanted to wait to get that itch again.”
