Cinema Music Group and Killphonic Records have launched the brand new Neil Young tribute album Heart of Gold: The Songs of Neil Young, Vol. 1. Featured on the 14-track compilation is Fiona Apple’s cowl of Younger’s 1972 Harvest music “Heart of Gold.” Hearken to the brand new cowl beneath.
Apple co-produced her “Coronary heart of Gold” cowl with Dave Palmer. The monitor options Palmer on piano, Reggie Hamilton on bass, and Joey Waronker on drums.
Proceeds from Coronary heart of Gold: The Songs of Neil Younger, Vol. 1 will profit the Bridge School, the Hillsborough, California, group that Neil Younger’s late ex-wife, Pegi Young co-founded to assist kids with bodily and speech impairments. A second quantity of Coronary heart of Gold: The Songs of Neil Younger is forthcoming.
