Metallica had the dignity of being the final band to carry out earlier than Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath on the “Again to the Starting” live performance in Birmingham, England, on Saturday (July fifth), marking the ultimate performances of the latter two acts.

Frontman James Hetfield and firm launched their set with a canopy of Sabbath’s “Gap within the Sky,” earlier than taking part in “Creeping Dying” and “For Whom the Bell Tolls.” Metallica then took on Sabbath’s “Johnny Blade,” adopted by “Battery” and “Grasp of Puppets.”

Metallica’s set adopted performances by Weapons N’ Roses, Slayer, Device, Pantera, Gojira, and others, in addition to a few all-star superjams that includes members of Rage In opposition to the Machine, The Smashing Pumpkins, Ghost, Aerosmith, and extra. See our complete coverage here.

Previous to the live performance, Metallica’s Lars Ulrich and Robert Trujillo spoke with Heavy Consequence in regards to the significance of being at Black Sabbath’s last present. Watch that video beneath, adopted by fan-filmed clips from their efficiency on the “Again to the Starting” live performance.
