Bethlehem Kudumba Unit Rolls Cameras With A Star Packed Ensemble
Girish is once again collaborating with his trusted writing partner Kiran Josey, with whom he shaped both Super Sharanya and Premalu into pop culture favourites. Their signature blend of humour, realism, and youthful relatability has defined much of Malayalam cinema’s recent feel good wave, making their next outing a highly anticipated one.
Keeping the creative continuity intact, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit also brings back the core technical crew from Premalu. Composer Vishnu Vijay, who is still riding high on the viral popularity of the film’s soundtrack, returns to score the music. Cinematographer Ajmal Sabu and editor Akash Joseph Varghese also reprise their roles, signalling that the team intends to carry forward the visual and tonal sensibilities that worked brilliantly for their previous hit.
Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju Lead A Dynamic Cast
For the first time, Girish AD is directing Nivin Pauly, an actor who has been on a solid run with the success of Sarvam Maya. Nivin’s comic timing and ease with emotional material make him an intriguing fit for Girish’s brand of storytelling. The actor is juggling a packed slate with films like Baby Girl, helmed by Garudan director Arun Varma, and an upcoming political drama with B Unnikrishnan.
Mamitha Baiju, the breakout performer of Super Sharanya and one of the brightest young stars in Malayalam cinema, reunites with Girish after back-to-back hits with the filmmaker. She is currently awaiting the release of the Tamil entertainer Jananayagan, in which she appears alongside Vijay, while also working on a project with Suriya directed by Lucky Baskhar fame Venky Bhaskar. In Malayalam, she has signed the directorial debut of Thanneer Mathan Dinangal co writer Dinoy Paulose, once again sharing the screen with Sangeeth Prathap.
The cast of Bethlehem Kudumba Unit also includes Suresh Krishna, Bindu Panicker, Vinay Forrt, Srinda, Roshan Shanavas, Shyam Mohan, and Shameer Khan, hinting at a story world anchored in family dynamics and humour. Details of the plot are still under wraps, but the title suggests a quirky, close knit setting in line with Girish’s trademark slice of life approach.
With filming underway and a team known for delivering relatable charm, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit is already shaping up to be one of Malayalam cinema’s most anticipated romances on the horizon.
