    A wild story has come out of the brand new Netflix documentary Titan: The OceanGate Submersible Catastrophe, wherein the corporate’s late CEO had apparently expressed a want to have Pearl Jam on board the underwater craft that imploded on an expedition to view the Titanic wreckage.

    The Titan submersible infamously imploded in June 2023, killing OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush and 4 different passengers, making headlines worldwide.

    Within the Netflix doc, which was launched Wednesday (June 11), Joseph Assi, a videographer named who was employed by Rush, says that the CEO was trying to put the highlight on his fledgling firm, as reported by Loudwire.

    “They wanted extra publicity, that’s why we got here alongside,” explains Assi. “The sub they had been making was very primary, so the thought was – ‘Make us movies so we are able to be a focus for folks.’”
