    Paul McCartney’s New Year’s Resolution: “Finish a New Album”

    Although we’re nonetheless greater than every week away from 2025, Paul McCartney has already shared his New 12 months’s decision. Whereas answering fan questions on his official website, the Beatles member revealed that he hopes to “end a brand new album.”

    “I’ve been engaged on a number of songs, and have needed to put it to the facet due to the tour,” McCartney wrote. “So, I’m hoping to get again into that and end up a number of these songs.”

    He continued, “So, how’s about that? ‘My New 12 months’s decision is to complete a brand new album!’”

    McCartney’s final solo album, McCartney III, was launched in December 2020. A number of months later, he shared a covers challenge referred to as McCartney III Imagined that includes contributions from Phoebe Bridgers, St. Vincent, Beck, and extra.

    Elsewhere within the Q&A, McCartney confirmed he was taking a “well-deserved relaxation” and spending time with household after wrapping up his “Bought Again” tour in London final week. “I’m a type of guys that likes to overdo decorations,” he mentioned, “so I would like a minute to sit down again, chill out and revel in them.”

    On Thursday (December nineteenth), McCartney reunited with Ringo Starr on the cut-off date of his tour to play “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Membership Band (Reprise)” and “Helter Skelter.” Maybe McCartney’s former bandmate may even make an look on the upcoming album.

    Over on the massive display, McCartney and Starr are set to be portrayed in a quartet of biopics directed by Sam Mendes. Paul Mescal is reportedly set to play McCartney within the movies, with Barry Keoghan as Starr.
