Fifty years after the release of their classic song “Wish You Were Here,” Pink Floyd have unveiled an official music video for the iconic track.
With the release of the original track pre-dating MTV, an official music video for “Wish You Were Here” was never created until now. The clip coincides with the release of a 50th anniversary deluxe edition of the 1975 album of the same name (order here).
The video (watch below) features new animation along with studio footage and other vintage clips of Pink Floyd. The reissue of Wish You Were Here helped propel it to No. 1 on the latest UK album chart, more than 50 years since it first hit No. 1, breaking a record previously held by the Beatles’ Abbey Road.
