If there are any PlayStation Plus gamers out there who want to spend the Christmas break getting good and lost in a massive open world game, I’ve got a suggestion for you.
There are, of course, tons of great games to play on PlayStation Plus. So many it can be hard to know where to start, in fact. But if what you’re after is a properly massive open world, how about one that’s six times the size of Skyrim?
This PlayStation Plus Game Is Truly Huge

It may be a familiar game, but it’s always worth pointing out that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag is completely free for PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers. And at a whopping 235 square kilometers, it outstrips Skyrim’s own impressive map by roughly 37 square kilometers.
Now, it’s worth pointing out that size isn’t everything when it comes to video games. Just because an open world game is big doesn’t automatically mean it’s worth playing. It just so happens that Black Flag has a big open world and stands as one of the best Assassin’s Creed games of all time.
The world itself is actually worth exploring too, with a huge sea to sail across packed with secrets, islands, and lots of schmucks to assassinate. Whether you’ve played it before or not, the Christmas break could well be the perfect time to dive back into this all-time classic and remind yourself what Ubisoft can do when it’s firing on all cylinders.
