The time is almost upon us to don the mantle of the Warden, charge into battle against our online foes and scramble for possession of the Shieldbreaker. Then, and only then, can we hope to smash through the enemy’s base and claim victory over the mythical continent of Highguard.
According to SteamDB, the new PvP shooter from the legendary creators of Titanfall and Apex Legends is mere moments away from its official launch. Best of all, it’s completely free to play and available across consoles and PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. So Warden, do you have what it takes to overthrow an army and bask in the glory of victory? Let’s find out!
What Time Does Highguard Launch For Me?
Official Launch Time Revealed
Highguard is set to release later today at 6pm GMT or 1pm EST. So, depending on your time zone, you could be blasting bad guys for lunch or maybe storming bases for supper? Here’s a quick glance at the times Highguard will release in popular areas for your convenience:
1:00 pm – New York, USA (also Toronto, Canada / most of Florida)
10:00 am – Los Angeles, USA
6:00 pm – Dublin, Ireland
6:00 pm – London, UK
7:00 pm – Paris, France
5:00 am (27th Jan) – Sydney, Australia
It’s an official launch with no early access play, so we can expect a feature-rich, complete game with hopefully plenty of gameplay modes and reasons to keep coming back for more. Base-building, character progression and full-scale battles perhaps? We can only hope. With no sign of Titanfall 3 ever coming out, this might be the next best thing.
Getting your hands on a PvP raid shooter where you can ride, fight and conquer bases certainly sounds like a fun time. At the very least, it could be a great way to kill some time while we wait for Marathon and a release date in March.
Highguard Is Available On PS5, Xbox, And Steam
Cross-platform Shenanigans
The developers, Wildlife Entertainment, Inc. have confirmed that Highguard will be both cross-platform and cross-play from launch. This means you can annihilate your buddies on whatever system they choose to play the game on, and you can play across multiple platforms with your account info and progress carrying over between devices.
With Highguard being made by some of the masters behind Titanfall and Apex Legends, the hopes for this launch are relatively high. Their experience of creating solid shooters with decent gameplay mechanics and fluid movement is reassuring. Perfection, of course, isn’t guaranteed, but with the success of Arc Raiders, and its exciting roadmap of content still to come, there’s certainly room for successful first-person shooters in all our libraries.
