Varun Dhawan is gearing up for the release of Border 2. One of the most-anticipated films this year, it stars an ensemble cast of Sunny Deol, Ahan Shetty, Diljit Dosanjh, Varun, Anya Singh, Medha Rana and Sonam Bajwa, among others.

Ahead of the release, the Bhediya actor held an Ask Me Anything session on X (formerly Twitter) where he spoke about the film, his co-stars, his daughter Lara and more. Here are the topics Varun covered during his virtual interaction with fans:

    On Border 2

Answering a fan, Varun revealed that he injured his tailbone while shooting the battle of Basantar scene for Border 2. He said that he shot 40 days in Babina for that with real soldiers.

When another fan asked how much he puts himself in his characters, Varun explained that playing a Param Veer Chakra awardee in Border 2, he couldn’t put much of himself in the character since our Jawans lead a very different life from us, but he was guided by the Army and he tried to be honest in the moment.

He then heaped praises on his co-star Sunny Deol and spoke about what intrigued him about the film. Varun shared, “A war can never be won by an individual, it takes all forces to come together. In #border2 we have the army, navy and airforce together oh ya and also the one man army Sunny Deol. (sic)”

He also praised his co-stars Ahan and Diljit. Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 will be released on January 23.

    About His Films

Varun had a smart reply for a netizen who asked him about his comeback and claimed that Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari was a pathetic movie. The user wrote, “Bhai aren’t u serious Abt ur comeback? Stop doing pathetic movies like SSKTK in the name of versatility….. #varunsays”, to which the actor responded, “Chalo film phir bhi chal gaye thodi. App theatre jata rehna mein #border 2 might surprise u since ur taste is amazing #varunsays”

Moreover, Varun shared a major update on his upcoming projects. Amid reports of Bhediya 2 and the expanding Maddock Horror Comedy Universe, the actor said that he has not signed any project after Border 2, and any report stating that he has is not true.

Not signed any film. There is no sequel of any other film I’m doing. Will decide #varunsays https://t.co/MZQdqwP3wk

Fans also asked him for an update on Bhediya 2 and Badlapur 2, to which the actor said that it depends a lot on what stories are there and only then can he react. He clarified that he is not doing any sequels to any of his films as of yet.

Netizens were also curious about Varun and Shraddha’s on-screen reunion, to which he joked, “I’m sure ul see us in some capacity at some point maybe when we both are 40 (sic).”

    On His Daughter Lara

One netizen asked Varun when he would reveal his daughter Lara’s face. He answered, “I rather leave that decision with her. Social media should be her choice not something I want to decide for her #varunsays”

He then shared that in his free time, he loves playing with his daughter or playing paddle and cricket.
