Even with its seemingly endless content updates, one of the main reasons Stardew Valley has managed to stay relevant over the years is through its incredibly dedicated and creative fanbase. While plenty of projects have stood out for the sheer talent or time investment that went into making them, a fan-made Stardew Valley map made entirely from LEGO is easily one of the best out there.
Reposted by Manroute on the Stardew Valley Reddit from a now-deleted Steam Community post, the custom set created by builder Steve Jenson faithfully recreates the majority of Stardew Valley‘s iconic Pelican Town in painstaking detail. What’s even more impressive is that the image used in the viral post isn’t even its finished version, but merely a work-in-progress iteration of the final build from last year.
LEGO Stardew Valley Looks Absolutely Adorable
Even without the final details shown in stevedj9999‘s Instagram post, the concept and sheer level of skill on display are nothing short of astounding. Perfectly capturing the serenity and charm that Stardew Valley provides, it’s no wonder that fans like Mintzenn are saying they “wish even more that it was a real place I could visit.”
What’s even more impressive is just how well put together the map is, given that, as user World-Present7129 points out, “the game segments don’t really fit together in some parts,” which did require a bit of rearranging to make it work in the third dimension.
Both the creator and the LEGO set itself have also thankfully received the recognition they deserve for the hard work, as not only did ConcernedApe visit and give his approval during the initial unveiling at Brickcon WA 2024, but the creator has also been brought to showcase the build at the opening concert for the Stardew Valley Symphony of Seasons tour in Seattle in September.
Unfortunately, It’s Not An Official Set
The only downside of Stardew Valley‘s perfect LEGO recreation is that it’s not something you can simply go out and buy for yourself, especially when the first instinct to seeing it is shared by fans like ImpossibleDistance67, saying it “Makes me want to go get some legos for the first time in 40 years.”
Unfortunately, even with Stardew Valley‘s surprise update announcements ahead of the new year, it’s unlikely that we’ll be getting anything close to a Stardew Valley LEGO set anytime soon. This isn’t as if fans haven’t tried in the past, however, as several fan recreations of the Stardew Valley farmhouse have received up to thousands of supporters before, but haven’t been able to win any competitions just yet to turn them into official LEGO Ideas sets.
Given that we’ve already gotten sets for both Minecraft and official Animal Crossing LEGO already, it feels like only a matter of time before we can see Stardew Valley in all its three-dimensional glory, but until then, fan-creations like Steve Jenson’s give a perfect glimpse at just how much potential it has in the meantime.
