Steve Lacy is again with “Nice Shoes,” his first single since 2022. Take a look at the brand new music—written and produced by Lacy and launched through RCA Records—under.
In an interview with Rolling Stone’s Jeff Ihaza, Lacy known as his new music “a ‘trailer’ for this new second in his profession.” Elsewhere within the interview, he mentioned a forthcoming new album known as Oh Yeah? “This one has taken plenty of time and thought,” he instructed Ihaza of the self-produced challenge. “I preserve utilizing the phrase ‘design.’ It appears like totally designing a brand new language for myself.”
Lacy received a Grammy Award for Best Progressive R&B Album for his sophomore album, Gemini Rights. The 2022 full-length housed the most important music of Lacy’s profession thus far, “Bad Habit.”
