The much-awaited teaser of Ronth, the brand new movie by writer-director Shahi Kabir, is now out. Produced by Junglee Footage and Pageant Cinemas, the movie stars powerhouse performers Dileesh Pothan and Roshan Mathew in lead roles and is ready to launch in cinemas on June 13, 2025.
Set over the course of a single evening, Ronth unfolds by means of the lens of two cops—Sub Inspector Yohannan (performed by Dileesh Pothan) and his youthful colleague Dinanath (performed by Roshan Mathew)—as they go about their evening patrol. What begins as a routine shift rapidly turns into a layered narrative exploring mentorship, self-discipline, and the subtleties of energy dynamics between a seasoned officer and a perceptive junior.
The teaser is grounded, gripping, and introspective, hinting at a narrative that’s each emotionally textured and rigidity stuffed. Talking in regards to the movie, director Shahi Kabir, a former police officer himself, mentioned, “Whereas writing Ronth, I drew inspiration from my time as a cop and my relationship with colleagues on responsibility. After the acclaimed Ela Veezha Poonchira, Ronth marks Kabir’s return to course and screenwriting, following his earlier hit Officer on Responsibility.
