    The Antlers Announce New Album Blight, Share New Song: Listen

    The Antlers have introduced their first new album in 4 years: Blight arrives October 10 by way of Transgressive. The band is sharing lead single “Carnage” right now, too, and it comes with a lyric video you could take a look at under.

    Discussing the backstory of the brand new tune, the Antlers frontman Peter Silberman mentioned, “‘Carnage’ is a tune a few form of violence we not often acknowledge—violence not born of cruelty, however of comfort. Harmless creatures are swept up within the path of destruction as their world collides with ours, and we barely discover.”

    Blight spans 9 songs and serves because the follow-up to 2021’s Green to Gold. Silberman and longtime drummer Michael Lerner invoke adventurous preparations whereas relating themes of wastefulness, environmental devastation, and our passive destruction.
