After years of playing Bucky Barnes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Sebastian Stan will be making his DC debut in The Batman – Part II. Robert Pattinson will finally be back as the Caped Crusader in The Batman universe in 2027, as filming will kick off in the coming months.

Following the reports of Stan being tapped to play Harvey Dent in Matt Reeves’ Elseworlds franchise, @JackyWackyDA shared artwork of what the MCU alum’s clash with Pattinson’s hero could look like in The Batman – Part II. Check out the posters below:

Stan isn’t the only MCU veteran joining The Batman – Part II cast, as Black Widow actress Scarlett Johansson has been tapped as one of the new stars boarding the project. At the time of this article’s publication, DC Studios has not confirmed or denied Stan’s Harvey casting.

The Batman – Part II story remains heavily under wraps, and it’s unclear if the DC attorney will become Two-Face in the 2027 installment. If Stan ends up playing Harvey, Reeves’ franchise will be the latest Batman film property to feature him on the big screen after Aaron Eckhart’s version in 2008’s The Dark Knight and Harry Lawtey’s iteration in Joker: Folie à Deux from 2024.

Johansson is reportedly playing Gilda Gold, who is better known as Harvey’s wife in the comics, but similar to Stan’s casting, DC Studios hasn’t commented on her role. Principal photography is eyed to begin in May, which means more casting is likely on its way over the next few months.

The sequel will take place shortly after The Penguin TV series, with Colin Farrell’s Oz Cobb also coming back for The Batman – Part II. However, the villain line-up doesn’t stop there, as Barry Keoghan’s Joker is expected to have a role in it too.

The Batman – Part II is slated to open in theaters on October 1, 2027.
