    The Cure’s newest album, Songs of a Lost World, is getting a makeover courtesy of such artists as Deftones’ singer Chino Moreno, Mogwai, 4 Tet, Orbital, Paul Oakenfold, and others. A remix album titled Mixes of a Misplaced World will arrive on June thirteenth, with royalties benefiting the charity Conflict Little one UK.

    “Simply after Christmas I used to be despatched a few unsolicited remixes of Songs of a Misplaced World tracks and I actually liked them,” acknowledged The Treatment’s Robert Smith in a press launch. “The Treatment has a colourful historical past with every kind of dance music, and I used to be curious as to how the entire album would sound completely reinterpreted by others.”

    He added, “This curiosity resulted in a wonderful journey by all 8 songs by 24 great artists and remixers and is method past something I might have hoped for. Giving our recording royalties from the challenge to struggle baby helps make ‘mixes of a misplaced world’ an much more particular launch.”

    Remixes by Moreno (“Warchild”), Mogwai (“Endsong”), and 65daysofstatic (“All I Ever Am”) solely seem on the 3LP or 3CD deluxe editions of Mixes of a Misplaced World. Remixes by 4 Tet (“Alone”), Paul Oakenfold (“I Can By no means Say Goodbye”), Orbital (“Endsong”), and others seem on the usual 2LP or 2CD editions, in addition to the deluxe variations.

    4 Tet’s remix of “Alone” and Oakenfold’s “cinematic” remix of “I Can By no means Say Goodbye” will be streamed beneath, whereas the deluxe or normal editions of Mixes of the Misplaced World will be pre-ordered here. See the tracklist beneath.
