When advocacy meets medicine, communities thrive.

Adding a powerful layer of substance to the evening’s conversations, Dr. John C. Lipman, Interventional Radiologist and Medical Director of the Atlanta Fibroid Center, shared insights on how sound medical advances are transforming reproductive health for Black women.

Known nationally for his groundbreaking, minimally invasive fibroid treatments, Dr. Lipman reminded attendees that empowerment must extend to the body and mind, not just career and culture. He spoke candidly about the high rates of uterine fibroids among Black women — and the need for trusted information, early screening, and the courage to explore nonsurgical options. His session became a moment of healing and awareness, echoing the event’s overarching theme: “Voices Amplified.” Because every voice, every story, and every life matters.

Dr. Lipman was very engaging during our meet and greet. He took time to be get his briefing before his segment by our Camille Marine moderator and the founder of Full Bloom Global Media and Full Bloom Magazine and lovely coordinator of the evening.

The crowd’s response was palpable: nods, applause, and moments of quiet reflection as women recognized themselves in his message. The dialogue shifted from media to medicine, from representation to restoration — and that shift felt revolutionary.

When visionary leaders like Shon Murdock, compassionate experts like Dr. John C. Lipman, community leaders, brilliant women from across the media landscape come together, something sacred happens: stories shift, systems shake, and the spotlight widens.
As the event drew to a close, the conversation shifted from media to medicine — a reminder that empowerment begins with well-being. Dr. John C. Lipman, MD, of the Atlanta Fibroid Center, left a lasting impression with his message on reproductive health equity.
His insights on uterine fibroids, a condition affecting nearly 80% of African American women by age 50, challenged attendees to not only tell their stories but to protect their bodies with the same passion they protect their brands. His words resonated: “A woman’s voice is strongest when she’s healthy enough to use it.”
