Thursday are closing out 2024 with one other new tune. Following the April comeback monitor “Application for Release From the Dream,” they’ve now launched “White Bikes,” together with a black-and-white video created by Duran Levinson and Nick Scholey. Watch the video for the brand new tune under.

Thursday recorded “White Bikes” in June at Hansa Tonstudio, the Berlin, Germany, studio the place David Bowie made “Heroes” and Iggy Pop made Lust for Life. “That is our reward to you this vacation season. We hope you find it irresistible as a lot as we do,” the band shared. “White Bikes began with an concept from [guitarist] Norman Brannon, and you’ll hear his distinctive type throughout this tune. [Bassist] Stuart Richardson had the concept to supply the monitor like a nostalgic, upbeat, summertime model of Struggle All of the Time. [Singer] Geoff [Rickly] informed us that the lyrics cope with the lack of an expensive buddy — one of many first individuals he ever performed music with — who disappeared someday on his bike. This one means so much to us for lots of various causes.”

Thursday haven’t launched a brand new studio album since April 2011’s No Devolución.
