The best Prime Video shows to watch this week, January 19–23, 2026, include brand new releases, resurfaced trending hits, and acclaimed hidden gems still worth watching.

Prime Video’s most viral hits in January 2026 include Fallout, The Night Manager, and Beast Games, which are certainly worth checking out. That said, the second-largest streaming platform in the world has a celebrated vault of top-tier and binge-worthy series, including these must-see picks.

    Steal

The biggest new series release on Prime Video this week is Steal, a 6-part crime thriller starring Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner. All six episodes of Steal land on Prime Video this Wednesday, January 21, making it the #1 new show to binge this week on the platform.

Steal follows Turner’s anti-hero protagonist, Zara Dunne, an ordinary office worker who becomes part of a massive heist conspiracy. With its sharp pace and gripping premise, Steal is best binge-watched in just a few sittings and is a can’t-miss new release on Prime Video.

    Reacher

The action crime thriller Reacher is one of the staples of Prime Video’s streaming lineup and has found itself trending in the streamer’s Top 10 once again. With Reacher season 4 set to release this year, this viral hit is bound to become one of the most-watched Prime Video shows of the year once again.

Reacher stars Alan Ritchson as ex-military police officer Jack Reacher, based on the celebrated book series by Lee Child. Each season of Reacher adapts a different Lee Child book, so the series plays out as an anthology series with new supporting characters, villains, and stakes. You can only make the most out of your Prime Video subscription by watching Reacher.

    Undone

Undone has been one of the biggest hidden gems on Prime Video since it premiered in 2019. Recipient of a near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score (97%), the series runs for two seasons and blends various genres, including drama, fantasy, sci-fi, and mystery.

Undone uses rotoscope animation to tell a completely unique and immersive story, which follows a woman who survives a near-death experience and discovers she can time-travel afterwards. If you’re looking for a break from dark dramas and violent thrillers, Undone is one of the very best series to watch on Prime.

    Goliath

Landman fans should check out Billy Bob Thornton’s other recent series, Goliath, created by prolific TV producer David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies, Presumed Innocent). Goliath consists of 32 episodes and 4 seasons, perfect for a long-form binge on Prime Video/

Goliath is an epic legal drama following Thornton’s disgraced lawyer protagonist, Billy McBride. After hitting rock bottom, Billy must pick himself up and make ends meet by taking desperate cases, including a wrongful death case, which exposes him to a series of threats and other strange happenings. If you love Thornton, consider Goliath a must-watch.

    Counterpart

One of the biggest hidden gem series on Prime Video is Counterpart, a two-season sci-fi thriller starring Oscar winner J.K. Simmons. Counterpart was released in 2017 and consists of 20 episodes, all roughly an hour each, making it ideal for a week-long binge.

Counterpart follows Simmons’ protagonist Howard Silk, who discovers a parallel universe that uncovers a bizarre interdimensional truth. Also starring Olivia Williams, Counterpart is one of the most overlooked yet exceptional thriller series worth watching on Prime Video.
