Jack Black, Elton John, and Brandi Carlile all returned to Saturday Night Live final evening, marking the fourth time that Black has hosted and the third time that John and Carlile have carried out as musical company of their respective careers. A riled-up Black riffed on all the things from Indiana Jones to the overabundance of bassists at jam periods, and even did his greatest Gerard Means impression for “Goth Child on Trip” spoofing My Chemical Romance’s The Black Parade.
