Tyler, the Creator hit the stage at the 2026 Grammy Awards tonight, performing the Chromakopia track “Thought I Was Dead’ and the Don’t Tap the Glass song “Sugar on My Tongue.” Check out a video of the medley below.

The rapper’s performance opened with him marching through the audience in garb straight off the Chromakopia cover. He jumped into “Thought I Was Dead” before transitioning into “Sugar on My Tongue” after an interlude from Regina King, who appeared as a gas station attendant. After rapping atop a red Ferrari, Tyler escaped the stage just in time for the shop to explode, leaving confetti around the stage.

Tyler last performed at the Grammys in 2020, when he performed a medley from his sixth album, Igor. That record won him his first Grammy the same year, for Best Rap Album; in 2024, he won the category again for Call Me If You Get Lost.

Tyler was up for six Grammys this year, including Best Rap Album, Best Alternative Music Album, Best Rap Performance (for Chromakopia’s “Darling, I”), and Best Rap Song (for Chromakopia’s “Sticky”). Earlier in the night, he had won the first-ever Grammy for Best Album Cover for Chromakopia. He also competed in Album of the Year against Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Leon Thomas, Clipse, Sabrina Carpenter, and eventual winner Bad Bunny.
