    Yami Gautam Talks About Not Being Part of Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar

    Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar has been achieving remarkable box office success since its theatrical release. The film has received widespread acclaim. Amidst the huge public interest around the movie, Yami Gautam recently conveyed her desire to have been involved in the espionage thriller.

     

    In an interview with News18, Aditya Dhar’s wife, Yami Gautam, expressed her strong desire to be involved in the film after reading its script. She said, “When I read his next script, I told him that it was one of those rare moments when I wished I was a guy. The script is so brilliant. It’s such an amazing world.” 

    She further expressed that they both maintain a personal and professional boundary and therefore, she did not have any expectations. Yami shared that they have maintained a mutual understanding from the start. She said, “If he feels that somebody else is a better fit for a part that he’s writing, I would be absolutely fine with it.” 

     

    For those unaware, Yami Gautam’s name appeared in the movie’s opening credits. Her husband and the film’s director, Aditya Dhar, expressed gratitude for her encouragement and support.

     

    Directed by Aditya Dhar, this espionage thriller stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role. It also stars Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, and Sara Arjun. This ensemble also features Danish Pandor, Naseem Mughal, Gaurav Gera, Naveen Kaushik, and Saumya Tandon.

    The project has collected above Rs 1000 crore in worldwide ticket sales. As per the Sacnilk update, the movie has earned Rs 698 crore currently within India. The second part of this story will release in theaters on March 19, 2026. 

     

    Meanwhile, on the work front, Yami Gautam was last seen in the courtroom drama, HAQ which also starred Emraan Hashmi, Vartika Singh, and Sheeba Chaddha in key roles.
