    Yves Jarvis has won the 2025 Polaris Music Prize. The psych-pop singer-songwriter received the award for greatest Canadian album of the yr for his February LP, All Cylinders. Mustafa, in the meantime, received the inaugural Polaris Track Prize for his Dunya track “Gaza Is Calling.”

    Chosen by a jury of music trade members, the prizes had been awarded final evening (September 16) at Massey Corridor in Toronto. Different nominees in each the album and track classes included Saya Grey, Lou-Adriane Cassidy, and Ribbon Skirt. Jarvis and Mustafa had been awarded $30,000 and $10,000 Canadian, respectively, courtesy of the Slaight Family Foundation and the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN).

    Final yr, Jeremy Dutcher won the Polaris Music Prize for Wolastoqiyik Lintuwakonawa, turning into the award’s first two-time winner since its launch in 2006.
