BLACKPINK’s youngest member, Lisa, is stepping into a brand-new chapter of her career. The global K-pop star is all set to make her film debut and will be seen sharing the screen with popular actors Ma Dong Seok and Lee Jin Wook. Netflix officially confirmed the news and released photos from the script reading session, creating a massive buzz online.
The streaming platform announced that the production for the action film titled Extraction: Taigo has started. The film is directed by Lee Sang Yong, known for delivering blockbuster action titles. Along with Lisa, the movie stars Ma Dong Seok, famous internationally for Train to Busan and the Marvel film Eternals, and Lee Jin Wook, known for several hit drama roles.
Sharing the first photos from the table read, the production wrote, “Taigoga, a mercenary who grew up as a war orphan. Real Action Mission to save kidnapped Leah! Ma Dong Suk, Lee Jin Hyuk, and Larisa Manoban (Lisa) have been confirmed for casting. Worldview’s action blockbuster movie, only on Netflix.”

In addition to music, Lisa stepped into acting earlier in 2025, appearing in the popular HBO series The White Lotus. She was also honoured as a cultural ambassador by Thailand’s Ministry of Culture for promoting Thai heritage globally, and was praised by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha for her impact.
With her first big-screen role now underway, fans eagerly await more updates about Extraction: Taigo, which promises high-intensity action and global scale storytelling.
