Amitabh Bachchan Jokingly Asks Agastya Nanda Who’s His Favourite Grandparent

Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda is gearing up for the release of his film, Ikkis, where he will be seen sharing the screen with late Dharmendra, Simar Bhatia and Jaideep Ahlawat, among others. Ahead of the release, the young actor shot for the upcoming episode of his grandfather Amitabh Bachchan’s show, Kaun Banega Crorepati 17.

One of the promotional clips from the episode shows the legendary actor grilling his grandson over who his favourite grandparent is. The episode will feature Agastya, Simar Jaideep and Ikkis’ director Sriram Raghavan. Agastya’s mother, Shweta Bachchan and sister Navya Naveli Nanda are also supposed to join as guests.

The promo clip shows one of the audience members asking Agastya, “Mera sawal Agastya se hai, apka favourite kaun hai, nana ya nani? (My question is for Agastya. Who is your favourite, your grandpa or grandmother). This question catches him off guard, and he tries to laugh it off. However, Big B chimes in and nudges Agastya to answer. He says, “Nahi, nahi bolne dijiye. Hum janna chahthe hain (No, let him speak. I want to know the answer to this).”

Jaideep Ahlawat jokingly teases Agastya and says, “Agar vanity mein pitna hai toh nani ka naam lelo, aur ghar jaake pitna hai toh nanu ka naam lelo (If you want to get beaten up in the vanity van, take grandmother’s name and if you want to get beaten up at home, take grandfather’s name.” Besides Agastya, the film will also see Akshay Kumar’s niece Simar Bhatia making her debut. A couple of days ago, Big B, Akshay and many more attended a private screening of the film.

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis is based on the true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee. This will mark late actor Dharmendra’s posthumous release.
