Dragon takes a distinct path
Dragon, however, is taking a different promotional route. The makers have avoided revealing anything in advance. There have been no character snippets or mini teasers so far. The lengthy glimpse itself will serve as the audience’s first major introduction to the film’s world.Even though Dragon is still over a year away from release, comparisons have already begun across social media platforms. The reason is simple — Jr NTR and Ram Charan, who shared screen space in RRR, are presenting the scale and ambition of their respective films in the same week. Naturally, movie buffs are drawing parallels between the two stars and their promotional strategies.
Different aesthetics and storytelling
Peddi and Dragon appear to belong to completely different aesthetic and narrative spaces. Peddi is rooted in an underdog narrative, with Ram Charan seemingly playing a man from an oppressed community who rises against social and systemic barriers. The Buchi Babu Sana directorial carries an earthy texture and vibrant visual palette.
Dragon, directed by Prashanth Neel, is expected to move in a darker and grittier direction. Neel’s signature style relies on intense atmospherics, rugged visuals, and powerful elevation moments. Unlike Peddi’s emotionally grounded protagonist, Jr NTR’s character in Dragon is said to be designed like a destructive force. Interesting times ahead!
