Spirit to release as scheduled?
Prabhas has been juggling Spirit with his other commitments, including Fauzi, resulting in an intermittent shooting schedule. The prolonged production had led to speculation that the film could be pushed from its announced release date of March 5, 2027, with some reports even suggesting a June release.
However, a source from the production house reportedly told Zoom TV that there has been no delay. A T-Series spokesperson also confirmed to the publication that there is “absolutely no change” to the announced release date. According to the statement, the team continues to work as planned and remains committed to releasing Spirit worldwide on March 5, 2027.

Salman Khan vs Prabhas
If Spirit sticks to its March release date, it could set up a major box-office showdown with Salman Khan’s upcoming action entertainer SVC63, which is also targeting an early March 2027 release around Eid.
There had been speculation that Spirit could be pushed to avoid a clash with Salman’s film and the potential impact of two major star-driven releases arriving around the same period. The latest confirmation from the Spirit team, however, suggests that the Prabhas-starrer remains firmly on course for March 5.
With both films currently eyeing the same lucrative release window, fans could be heading towards one of the biggest box-office clashes of 2027. Salman Khan versus Prabhas.
