Timothy Olyphant, Brad Pitt, and a star-studded ensemble make up this epic crime movie that is now taking over a major streaming service at the perfect time. Olyphant has been on a streak of streaming hits in 2026. Looking at Olyphant’s TV shows, the new Apple TV thriller series Lucky climbed high on the streaming service’s charts after debuting in July, while the drama series The Five-Star Weekend found success on Peacock in the United States following its arrival on the streamer also in July. On the movie side, Olyphant saw the comedy-thriller Over Your Dead Body become a streaming favorite.

As for Pitt, the actor recently was at the center of major news, as Paramount officially confirmed that Pitt will return for World War Z 2. The sequel to the highest-grossing movie of all time has been stuck in development hell since the original was released back in 2013. Right now, World War Z has resurged on Paramount+ internationally (via FlixPatrol). Now, before Pitt and Olyphant appear in a new movie from one of the best directors of all time, their Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, has become a streaming sensation on Prime Video.

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood Is Taking Over Prime Video

At the time of writing, Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood stands as the 4th most-watched movie on Prime Video in the United States. While the movie was released in theaters on July 26, 2019, it is now trending after Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood came to Prime Video on September 25. The crime epic is a period film that explored a nostalgic version of Hollywood, while the rise of the Manson Family loomed over the story in the background, with the film ultimately changing the fate of Sharon Tate, played by Margot Robbie in the movie, and multiple others.

Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood features a star-studded ensemble, with many actors who have since seen their star rise exponentially in the industry. The movie features names like Pitt, Olyphant, Robbie, Leonardo DiCaprio, Margaret Qualley, Austin Butler, Sydney Sweeney, Dakota Fanning, Al Pacino, Mikey Madison, Victoria Pedretti, Maya Hawke, and more. Right now, Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood stands above movies like You+Me – Against the World, Jack Reacher, The Amateur, and others on Prime Video. The only three releases above the Tarantino classic on the streamer are Livestream from Hell, Amazon Music Live: Noah Kahan, and The Love Hypothesis.

Olyphant & Pitt Are Returning To Hollywood Very Soon

Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood is trending on Prime Video just a couple of months before the franchise is scheduled to return. Penned by Tarantino and directed by David Fincher, the sequel, The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, will be released on Netflix on December 23, following a limited theatrical run starting on November 25. Bringing back Pitt in the lead role as Cliff Booth and featuring Olyphant’s return as James Stacy, the new movie should dominate Netflix’s charts after Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood‘s $409.4 million box office, and the original’s newfound Prime Video success teases that fate.
