Vikram Singh Chauhan made his debut in Bollywood over a decade back and remains a prominent name in television as well. Throughout his career, he has maintained a versatile body or work across a wide range of genres from romance to thrillers. He was last seen in Pooja Meri Jaan where he plays the role of a character who is in love and whose heart has been shattered, dragging him into taking a questionable decision.
Do You Dare is a series where a flaming hot question is posed to the celebrity before which they are given an ultimatum. If courage reigns strong and a choice is made to hear the question, then answer they must. On the contrary, they can always decide to omit the question overall, locking away the question for good. During this exclusive talk, Vikram Singh Chauhan chose to face the question head-on and open up.
So, your character in Pooja Meri Jaan lets a broken heart completely consume his sanity and drive him to take extreme measures. How does the real Vikram deal with romantic rejection? Are you someone whose ego shatters silently, or have you ever turned into a desperate, sleepless mess over someone?
I’ll confess to this. In school, I was, in fact, an Aniket. It was later that I realized ki “main kya kar raha hoon life mein” (What am I doing in my life). After the movie, so many of my friends told me, “Yaar, hum school mein aisi hum sab Aniket the. Woh toh hum ab bade ho gaye aur hum ab samajh gaye ki hamari conditioning aisi ho gayi thi.”(We were all the same way in school. It’s just that we have grown up and have accepted that we were conditioned in such a way.) So many girls messaged me too.
My friends who have known me for so many years, they said that they have had stalkers and had to deal with them in their lives. My male friends on the other hand said that they have been an Aniket at some point in their life. But then they realized that they were so wrong. I was also like that. Not to the extreme of what Aniket was, but somewhere I was like him.

How do you handle rejections?
Of course, yes. In this industry, you have to constantly deal with so many rejections that they begin to feel easier than being accepted. It has gotten to the point where we begin to doubt ourselves about getting accepted. “Arre, sach mein ho gaya kya?” (Wait, did that actually happen?) If rejected, we say, “Arre haan haan, pata hai, woh toh ho hi jaana hai.” (I knew it from the start itself. That was bound to happen.)
