Anupam Kher Receives Another Honour From The USA For His Contributions To Cinema

Anupam Kher has been an inspirational figure in Bollywood, contributing to over 500 movies across the span of his four-decade-long career. Just a few weeks back, he was honoured in Ohio for his live stage performance of Jaane Pehchaane Anjane.

Cut forward to the present, and the veteran actor received yet another honour from the USA, this time welcoming him to North Carolina. The honour was presented to him by the representative Maria Cervania.

Anupam Kher took to his social handle to share the good news. He said, “ONE MORE HONOUR IN USA! Honoured, humbled and filled with joy! Thank you, Honorable Representative Maria Cervania, for presenting this Representative Statement in the #NorthCarolina House of Representatives, welcoming me to the General Assembly and the State of North Carolina.”

He continued speaking about his journey and the happiness he felt for his work to be recognised on foreign soil as well. “It is deeply moving to see my journey acknowledged so generously from my work in Indian and international cinema to my National Film Awards, Padma honours and contributions to institutions that have shaped generations of artists.”

He added, “What makes this recognition even more special is its mention of our musical #JaanePehchaaneAnjane, its exploration of relationships and human connections, and our performance in Raleigh. To arrive here with a play close to my heart and receive such a welcome is a wonderful feeling!”
