Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan were slated to star in an action comedy. While it was revealed earlier, no significant updates about it have reached fans yet. Interestingly, the project is being bankrolled by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Guneet Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment.

The release has also reportedly been pushed. It was originally scheduled for 2026. Now, Karan Johar has exclusively told HT City that the project is on track. As per the report by the publication, Karan has mentioned that 10 days of filming is still left for the movie. “This is not true. We have 10 days of shoot left, and we are very much releasing the film theatrically this year,” the producer-filmmaker said.

The film is being directed by Aakash Kaushik. He has also maintained that it is back on track and soon to be announced properly.

On the work front, Ayushmann is currently occupied with Sooraj Barjatya’s Yeh Prem Mol Liya, while Sara is gearing up for her upcoming film Pati, Patni Aur Woh Do.

Ayushmann Khurrana was recently seen in Thamma. Our reviewer gave the movie 3.5 stars. We mentioned, “Thamma is a well-produced, competently acted, visually engaging addition to the Maddock horror-comedy universe. It entertains, amuses, and occasionally surprises, but also reveals a genre edging towards creative fatigue. Thamma proves the universe still has bite, even if the fangs aren’t quite as sharp as they used to be.”

Sara Ali Khan, on the other hand, was last seen in Metro…In Dino. Comparing it with Life In A… Metro, our reviewer wrote, “While the new film has its flaws, Anurag Basu still manages to craft a romantic drama that doesn’t flinch from real emotions. In an era of half-hearted filmmaking, Metro… In Dino is an earnest attempt at genuine storytelling, something which most directors of today have become negligent about.”
