Baldur’s Gate 3 Meets Fire Emblem In Hit RPG On Sale For 90% Off

Whenever an abundance of games goes on sale, it can be impossible to determine which is actually worth spending your money on, even if they closely resemble the likes of Baldur’s Gate 3 or Fire Emblem. Indeed, while some games may sell for as low as just a handful of dollars, eventually the cost adds up, and it can be tricky splashing that much cash on titles you may very well never actually play. We’ve all been tantalized by an alluring Steam sale or two, but sometimes it is important to truly reflect on which games deserve your hard-earned cash.

While one would never be so presumptuous as to tell you which games you should and shouldn’t buy, it can be helpful to highlight a particularly good sale, especially when the game in question does indeed resemble some of the greatest RPGs ever made, including the aforementioned BG3 and Fire Emblem. So, for those with plenty of time on their hands, a few dollars to spare, and a penchant for a truly terrific RPG, this 90% off sale may just be worth your while.

As part of the ongoing and frankly incredibly deep Steam Autumn Sale discounts, one highly-regarded RPG has seen its price slashed by a whopping 90%. It isn’t incredibly uncommon for games, including incredibly popular ones, to have their price reduced so much, but when it happens, it is certainly worth perking one’s ears up. Alongside the likes of Hogwarts Legacy (which has had its base game also reduced by 90% to just $5.99), the incredible D&D-esque Solasta: Crown of the Magister is now so unbelievably affordable that it would be ridiculous not to buy it.

Offering one of the best video game adaptations of D&D, Solasta: Crown of the Magister won over fans when it launched back in 2021, with its unique approach to complete party customization, faithful adoption of the 5e ruleset, and incredibly dynamic world offering a phenomenal RPG experience that predated the likes of Baldur’s Gate 3. It can, at times, feel like the quintessential CRPG, a title that fans of the genre and those new to it, thanks to the likes of BG3, must try, at least once.

Of course, for just $2.99, it is easy to try this massive RPG. Its sprawling story will take fans around 50 hours to beat, a runtime well served by excellent quests and interesting characters. This isn’t to say that Solasta: Crown of the Magister isn’t without its shortcomings, but, once again, for just $2.99, these are easily overlooked. This is also an excellent price for those who are interested in the Baldur’s Gate 3 style but can’t splash out on its more premium price point, which remains remarkably high, even on sale.

Now is also a great time to jump into Solasta: Crown of the Magister, as its sequel has recently entered Early Access and is poised to be one of the few RPGs even better than BG3. If one is interested in trying it, it may perhaps be prudent to play Solasta: Crown of the Magister first, although it isn’t required reading to enjoy this new sequel. Regardless, for those looking for a great and heavily discounted game like BG3 that brings a little Fire Emblem-esque tactical gameplay to the proceedings, Solasta: Crown of the Magister is well worth a shot.
