Baltimore Orioles to Host Turnstile Night

Turnstile take great pride in their hometown roots of Baltimore, where they originally formed and are still based to this day. In 2023, the city’s Major League Baseball team, the Baltimore Orioles, invited them to throw out the first pitch. Now they’re rolling out the red carpet for a Turnstile-themed night at Camden Yards on July 10, complete with dedicated jerseys as the fan giveaway. Check out the design below.

Fans need to purchase a special ticket package to get their hands on one of those limited-edition, black-and-orange Orioles jerseys featuring Turnstile’s name on the back and a circular sleeve decal. Unfortunately, the game will not include a live performance by Turnstile, but the team will presumably play the band’s songs over the course of the evening. Fans should keep their eyes peeled on sections 84 and 86 in the ballpark throughout the game, too, where Turnstile will help Mr. Splash, one of the team’s mascots, spray fans with a hose whenever Baltimore gets an extra-base hit.

Turnstile released their fourth album, Never Enough, last spring. They earned five Grammy Award nominations on the back of that record and ended up winning two trophies for the first time: Best Rock Album and Best Metal Performance. That latter award was for the Never Enough single “Birds,” which coincidentally has been adopted by the Orioles this season for the team’s stadium hype videos.

Want to see Turnstile in person but can’t make it to the big game? You’re in luck, as the experimental hardcore band are slated to perform at Lollapalooza, Shaky Knees, Acrosanti, and several other music festivals this summer.

Revisit the cover story Turnstile Blew Up. Now What? and read about Glow On at No. 29 in The 100 Best Albums of the 2020s So Far.
