Chanel Beads’ Shane Lavers has detailed the follow-up to his 2024 debut Your Day Will Come—and it’s also titled Your Day Will Come. The album arrives June 26 on Jagjaguwar, and includes last year’s “The Coward Forgets His Nightmare” as well as a new single, “Song for the Messenger,” which arrives with an atmospheric, grayscale video. Watch it below (trigger warning if you’re afraid of snakes).

Your Day Will Come (the new one) features contributions from violinist Zachary Paul and singer Maya McGrory—both of whom played on the last Chanel Beads record—plus More Eaze, Anastasia Coope, and Tchad Cousins of Urika’s Bedroom. “This song is laughing at me,” Lavers said of “Song for the Messenger” in a press release. “Like looking over your shoulder and walking off a cliff. The video is about no fear.”

Read about Your Day Will Come (the old one) at No. 46 in The 50 Best Albums of 2024.
