It succeeds because of a variety of factors, including a star-studded cast that is one of the best on Disney+.

Star Wars: Visions is an animated anthology series that mostly tells new stories with different characters in each episode, with three seasons and 27 episodes released thus far. The Star Wars series debuted on Disney+ on September 22, 2021. Over the show’s multi-season run, a wide array of talented actors, some who have appeared in recent high-profile projects from other franchises, have joined the Star Wars franchise. Disney+’s Star Wars: Visions Will Never Stop Evolving Its Cast

Star Wars: Visions is one of Disney+’s best shows, which can be seen in cold numbers by the overwhelmingly positive reviews the animated series has gotten across three seasons. Securing a near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score for one season is a tough task, but maintaining a stellar 98% critics’ score across three seasons, like Star Wars: Visions has achieved, is a rare feat. If it were not for the excellent work delivered by the cast of the Star Wars series, which features several intense and emotionally-draining episodes, I don’t believe that Star Wars: Visions would be such a hit.
After three successful seasons, the plan for the animated Star Wars series on Disney+ is clear, with the show continuing to change its cast season after season. Due to Star Wars: Visions‘ anthology nature, it is easy for the show to drop old stars in favor of new actors in key roles for every new season. That said, some actors, like Simu Liu and Karen Fukuhara, have returned for sequel episodes. That keeps things fresh, surprising, but with a dash of familiarity as Star Wars: Visions rages on.
