Four Awesome Sets From Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday
LEGO
With Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday coming on December 18th, LEGO has already rolled out a handful of related sets (including the Doctor Doom Bust), and we have an exciting new batch releasing on October 4th. The two standouts are easily the Epic Battle: Avengers: Doomsday and the Avengers: Doomsday New Avengers Tower. The former is an 846-piece set centers on a fully articulated Sentinel, which has (probably a bit of a spoiler for the movie…) a second display head and a third arm. There are also an exciting six minifigures: Doctor Doom, Magneto, Thor, Nightcrawler, Mystique, and Mister Fantastic.

The New Avengers Tower set is much smaller (954 pieces) than the hard-to-find, nearing-retirement $500 dollar version, but it’s also way more affordable at $109.99. It’s still a geat looking representation of the iconic building, and comes with Doctor Doom, Yelena, Red Guardian, Bucky Barnes, Human Torch, and Sentry minifigs.
LEGO
There’s also a new Quinjet (433-pieces) with Cyclops, Doctor Doom, The Thing, and Captain America (Sam Wilson) minifigs, as well as the Avengers: Doomsday BrickHeadz set featuring Gambit, Thor, The Thing, and Doctor Doom (467 total pieces).
PlayStation 1, But in Brick Form
LEGO
This beautifully nostalgic 1911-piece set recreates the classic PlayStation video game console. The controller actually plugs in, and the open button pops open the disc slot to reveal two little dioramas of Ape Escape and Gran Turismo. It’s a killer set that continues the line of LEGO’s video game models, including the stellar Game Boy build and the smaller Sega Genesis.
Plus, you can get a 276-piece Astro Bot model as a gift with purchase of anything over $150, so a perfect pair for this $179.99 set.
Another Big Son of a Bantha Star Wars Set: the Executor Super Star Destroyer
LEGO
No, it’s not the $1,000, 9,023-piece, 38-minifig Death Star, but the new Star Wars Executor Super Star Destroyer is still massive. Over 53.5 inches long and made of 6,130 pieces, this $799.99 display piece recreates Darth Vader’s personal flagship from Empire Strikes Back. It includes a Vader minifig (natch) plus all six bounty hunters from the movie — Boba Fett, Dengar, Bossk, IG-88, 4-LOM, and Zuckuss — together in one LEGO set for the first time ever.
With this set only, you’ll also get a 174-piece Darth Vader’s Lightsaber gift with purchase when ordering via LEGO.
A Downton Abbey Set is a Great Idea
LEGO
For the uninitiated, LEGO Ideas sets are fan-submitted designs that go through a series of voting and approval rounds (including licensing, when necessary) before becoming an actual retail build. This recreation of the iconic Downton Abbey titular estate was first submitted in 2024 and is finally seeing releases. A loving reconstruction featuring both upstairs and downstairs worlds, this 4,711 piece set features an excellent 13 minifigs: The Dowager Countess, Lord Grantham, Lady Grantham, Lady Mary, Lady Edith, Tom Branson, Mr. Carson, Mrs. Hughes, Mr. Bates, Thomas Barrow, Mrs. Patmore, Anna Bates, and Daisy Parker.
An Iconic House for the Holidays
LEGO
Then there’s LEGO Icons, builds designed specifically for adults (or, as the box says, 18+ builders). That means more challenging build techniques and extra features. The new Holiday House is meant to be the latest part of the LEGO Christmas Village; this one sits on Jingle Lane and features a number of easter egg references to “Jingle Bells.” The two-story interior features a big center Christmas tree, festive decorations, and light bricks, giving the four included minifigs a cozy home for the holidays.
