    Gatta Kusthi 2 (July 3)

    Vishnuu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi reunite for the sequel directed by Chella Ayyavu. The film follows a stay-at-home husband whose commitment to his family is put to the test by misunderstandings and societal expectations.

    Idhayam Murali (July 10)

    Atharvaa headlines this romantic drama directed by Aakash Baskaran. Also starring Kayadu Lohar and Preity Mukhundhan, the film revolves around a young man navigating one-sided love and discovering that some emotions never truly fade.

    Love Oh Love (July 10)

    Directed by Magesh Rajendran, the film stars Pavish, Naga Durga and Selvaraghavan. It centres on Raghuvaran, whose relationship takes an unexpected turn after financial struggles lead him to challenge his girlfriend to swap roles and experience his life.

    G.D.N (July 17)

    Madhavan essays the role of inventor Gopalswamy Doraiswamy Naidu in this biographical drama directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar. The film chronicles the remarkable journey of the man often referred to as the “Edison of India.”

    Arulvaan (July 17)

    Starring Arulnithi, Aarav and Ramya Pandian, Ganesh Vinayakan’s drama follows a determined district collector who transforms the lives of a tribal community through education.

    Anbe Diana (July 17)

    Pari Elavazhagan directs and stars in this romantic drama alongside Ramya Ranganathan, Chetan and Roja. The story follows an athletics coach whose love for his Anglo-Indian neighbour is challenged by cultural barriers.

    Arjunan Per Paththu (July 17)

    Yogi Babu headlines this entertainer directed by R Rajmohan. What begins as a search for a stolen truck soon snowballs into a much bigger conspiracy. The film marks Yogi Babu’s 300th outing as an actor, and also stars Anamika Mahi, Kaali Venkat, Aruldoss and Lenin Bharathi in key roles, with music composed by D Imman.

    Immortal (July 23)

    GV Prakash Kumar and Kayadu Lohar star in Mariappan Chinna’s fantasy thriller about a man whose imagined romance takes a terrifying turn when he finds himself hunted by a mysterious monster. The film also reunites GV Prakash with composer Sam CS after Blackmail, while Mariappan Chinna makes his feature directorial debut.

    Sathyavan Savithiri (July 24)

    Keerthy Suresh and Mysskin lead this courtroom drama directed by Praveen S Vijaay. The story follows a lawyer whose personal struggles become intertwined with a landmark legal battle. The supporting cast includes Aadukalam Naren, Ramesh Thilak, Deepa Shankar and Lizzie Antony, with music by Sean Roldan.

    Sigma (July 31)

    Jason Sanjay makes his directorial debut with this adventure thriller starring Sundeep Kishan and Faria Abdullah. The film follows a renegade treasure hunter navigating deadly obstacles in pursuit of an elusive prize. The adventure thriller brings together Sundeep Kishan and Faria Abdullah for the first time, with music composed by Thaman S.

    From Gatta Kusthi 2 to Sigma: Tamil films releasing this July

    Lakshmikanthan Kolai Vazhakku (Release date: To be confirmed)

    Directed by Dayal Padmanabhan, the film stars Vetri, Rangaraj Pandey and Brigida Saga. Set during the final hours before an execution, the story examines justice, morality and redemption through multiple perspectives. The courtroom drama is said to be inspired by the sensational Lakshmikanthan murder case that shook Madras in the 1940s.
