In LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, you’ll be able to unlock fast travel for the numerous sections of Gotham City’s map. This is done by going to SubWayne Stations and solving their related puzzles. If you haven’t found a SubWayne puzzle yet, then don’t worry. You unlock your first one in the Tricorner area early in the game, so just keep playing through the main story.

While a lot of SubWayne puzzles are pretty straightforward, there are a few tricky ones. One of the most confusing is probably the SubWayne in The Cauldron South. The entrance is blocked by a large blue shipping container and a crane that requires power to move. You can use your detect ability to highlight important pieces for the puzzle in yellow, but it won’t solve everything for you. If you’ve increased your detection range through Legacy of the Dark Knight’s upgrades, then even better.

How To Unlock Fast Travel In The Cauldron South

To unlock fast travel for The Cauldron South, you must first travel to that location on the map (pictured above). The blue shipping container is obviously in the way, but ignore it for now. Instead, hop inside your favorite Batmobile or motorcycle (my go-to was the Batpod after I unlocked it) and drive it around the corner to get started.

How To Solve The Cauldron South SubWayne Puzzle

LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight Cauldron South Subwayne solution

Off to the immediate right of the SubWayne tunnel entrance, there’s another shipping container. You’ll need to latch onto it with your vehicle and pull, flipping the shipping container over. This will expose a small toolshed behind it. You’ll also see there’s an assembly line where the shipping container was, but the crank needed to use it is missing its lever.

The lever is inside the toolshed (highlighted in the image above with the red circle). Break everything inside to fully reveal the lever, and then bring it over to the crank. This will move the pallet that was holding the shipping container over to the right, exposing something that looks like a lift (spoiler: it’s not actually a lift). It has a yellow border and will need some weight on it to turn those red lights to green.

Batcycle on lift in LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight

This is where things get tricky, because there’s still no power going over to the crane in front of the SubWayne entrance, and it’s not immediately clear what you need to do. The short answer is you need enough weight on the lift-thing (an official term, I’m sure) to get power over to the crane. I did this by riding my Batcycle over it and hopping off. After a moment, the lights will turn from red to green, and the crane will have power. It’ll automatically move the shipping container, and you can now fast travel to The Cauldron South.

    Again, those steps are:

    • Travel to The Cauldron South’s SubWayne entrance
    • Move the shipping container on the right-hand side by using a vehicle
    • Grab the yellow lever in the toolshed
    • Move the pallet to the right
    • Park a Batcycle or similar vehicle on the exposed yellow-bordered platform
    • Power will go to the crane, moving the shipping container
    • You have now unlocked fast travel to The Cauldron South

This was definitely the trickiest SubWayne puzzle for me as I played LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, so hopefully, this helped you out too.
