The OTT platform Netflix recently revealed its lineup for 2026. One of the projects to be revealed was Maa Behen, starring Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri, Dharna Durga and Ravi Kishan. A glimpse of the show was revealed to the audiences at an announcement event. The glimpse featured Madhuri’s Rekha as the mother of two daughters, Triptii and Dharna.
Madhuri is seen tackling clashes between her daughters, while fighting with them herself. She schools her daughters while her daughters school her on her clothing choices and what not. Ravi Kishan plays Gupta ji, who has an underlined crush on Rekha. He tries to be over-friendly with her and befriend the daughters in the process. The teaser also shows a clash between traditional and modern ways of living. The mother embraces her traditional ways while the daughters enjoy their modern outlook.
The cast of Maa Behen were present at the announcement event. Madhuri opened up on working on a thrilling film, while Triptii praised the experienced actors, Madhuri and Ravi, for supporting her throughout the shoot. She also mentioned how Dharna kept her entertained on sets by mimicking people.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Ravi Kishan had opened up about Maa Behen. “It’s a great feeling. I had the opportunity to work with Sridevi ji, but never with Madhuri ji, so this is a big charm. Saubhagya hai ki unke saath kaam karna. (It’s my privilege to work with her). Triptii, India’s new sensation, is also part of the film, so God-willing, it’ll be a beautiful project,” he had mentioned.
He had added, “It’s an exciting character in an entertaining film, and people have never seen me in such a character before. It is a wonderful, heartwarming, romantic and affectionate role!”
