The full lineup for MIKE’s Young World V has been revealed. Previously announced headliners Max B and MIKE himself will be joined by Niontay, Thirteendegrees°, EristhePlanet, Salimata, and Black Noi$e at the free, all-ages event, which returns to Brooklyn’s Herbert Von King Park on July 11 as part of New York’s SummerStage series. Check out the festival flyer below.
MIKE launched Young World in 2019. The festival took a break during the pandemic, and last year’s edition was abruptly canceled, with no reason given. His set this year will mark the stage debut of the Band of the Century, the live outfit he corraled last year for his Tiny Desk Concert.
Earlier this year, MIKE teamed up with Earl Sweatshirt and the production crew Surf Gang for Pompeii // Utility, a Speakerboxxx/The Love Below-style split album. However, the North American leg of the rappers’ upcoming joint tour was recently postponed, with new dates yet to be announced.
Max B, meanwhile, has had an active year on the live circuit following his release from prison last November, after 16 years behind bars. The following month, he released the mixtape Public Domain 7: The Purge, with verses from A$AP Rocky and Kehlani, among others.
