The Nandamuri Balakrishna-Koratala Siva collaboration, tentatively titled NBK112, was officially launched on Thursday in Amaravati. Andhra Pradesh ministers Nara Lokesh and Kandula Durgesh attended the event as chief guests.

Lokesh gave the ceremonial first clap, after which Balakrishna surprised attendees by delivering a dialogue from the film. His daughter, Tejaswini, switched on the camera, adding a personal touch to the launch ceremony. The untitled film carries the tagline, “Power Meets Purpose, Mass Becomes a Movement.” Production is set to begin next month, with the makers eyeing a May or June 2027 theatrical release.

The choice of Amaravati as the launch venue was significant. Speaking at the event, Balakrishna praised the Chandrababu Naidu-led government for encouraging film shoots in Andhra Pradesh and creating a welcoming environment for the Telugu film industry. However, the actor also voiced concern about the current state of Telugu cinema. He noted that the industry is facing significant challenges and pointed to the growing number of single-screen theatres shutting down across the Telugu-speaking states.

Balakrishna is currently also working on NBK111, an action drama directed by Gopichand Malineni.
