The Fallout series is really going through a bit of a renaissance right now, with a bunch of releases attached to the franchise that have really catered to existing fans, as well as those brought on board recently via the Prime Video adaptation. That said, we aren’t getting a new entry in the single-player series for a long time to come yet, if Bethesda’s Elder Scrolls VI form is set to continue.
That leaves us returning to the older games to get our fill of the post-apocalypse for the time being, and none of those are more universally beloved among the fans than Obsidian Entertainment’s Fallout: New Vegas. Though the base game will always be there to play like the warm embrace of a friend, there’s also a physical product that’s on the way soon that big fans may well want to get their hands on.
During the recent IGN Live from Summer Games Fest, Todd McFarlane from McFarlane Toys sat down to share some upcoming releases from the company, including one directly tied to New Vegas.
Anybody who has played through the game’s DLCs, specifically Honest Hearts, will absolutely remember Joshua Graham, the impossibly cool killer with a fully bandaged face, used to hide the horrendous burns he suffered. He was also the co-founder of the very nefarious Caesar’s Legion, though those days are long behind him.
Now, McFarlane Toys has confirmed a new officially licensed figure of the iconic character is on the way, and it looks like one of the most detailed renditions of Graham that you’ll find anywhere. At the same time, they also confirmed a highly detailed figure for Paladin Danse from Fallout 4, and Fallout 76 version of the T-45 Power Armor.
McFarlane has also shared some insight into how this all came about, saying, “Fallout caught us by surprise,” before confirming that their initial releases were very much a “let’s see how it goes” situation. From there, it’s all been very successful, with McFarlane saying, “We’ve had a lot of success with Fallout, not only with the new games they have, but they’ve opened up their library.”
If Fallout isn’t really your thing, the company also used the opportunity to confirm some very nice Helldivers II figures that are also set to be released later this year. There isn’t any exact info on when that might be, or how much it will cost, but expect it to follow a similar format to previous releases from the same franchise.
