Actor Nana Patekar was cremated with full state honours at his Pune farmhouse late on Thursday night. The last rites were performed at around 11:30 pm by his son, Malhar Patekar. Several dignitaries, including Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Tukaram Mundhe and actor Jackie Shroff, among others, gathered to pay their last respects.
Nana Patekar passed away in Goa on Thursday, October 8, after suffering a cardiac arrest. He was rushed to Manipal Hospital, where doctors attempted to revive him, but he could not be saved.
