The Clone Wars Era Officially Returns In New Release

It’s been years since the final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars aired, but the animated saga covering the space between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith holds a central place in the hearts of many fans. In more recent years, Clone Wars characters have appeared in other Star Wars shows and merchandise, even if their live-action counterparts often look very different.

While those nostalgic for the cartoon depictions of the characters may never have another season to enjoy, that doesn’t mean the book is totally closed. In the middle of the ongoing Star Wars Day celebrations for May the Fourth, a new release brings back Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano in their Clone Wars depictions.

On May 1, The Clone Wars versions of Anakin and Ahsoka officially landed in Fortnite, as shared on X by Epic Games partner Shiina. The new skins stick to the stylized look of the show faithfully, opting for sharper angles and more painterly textures than the default Fortnite art style.

Individually, the Anakin and Ahsoka skins cost 1,500 V-Bucks apiece, with various accessories costing between 400 and 800 V-Bucks. A Clone Wars bundle with both characters and all accessories is available for a comparatively discounted price of $2,700 V-Bucks. For a rough point of comparison, a bundle of $2,400 V-Bucks currently costs $22.99 USD.

As is typical for Fortnite crossover skins, you’ll only have a limited time to pick up the Clone Wars bundle. The offer expires on May 11, 2026, at 8 PM EDT, giving fans exactly one week after May the Fourth to keep pondering the purchase.

This isn’t the first time that either character has made their way to Fortnite, with renditions based on their live-action characters previously appearing in-game. Which version is better will largely be a matter of preference, but the cartoon style of The Clone Wars arguably translates better to the game than the live-action looks.

In Ahsoka’s case, it’s also her most iconic appearance, while Anakin’s Revenge of the Sith look (and the Darth Vader skin, if you count it) might outstrip his Clone Wars outfit.

Elsewhere in Star Wars video game news, Knights of the Old Republic fans got a new treat with Hasbro’s reveal of two new Black Series figures based on characters from the game. May the Fourth is always an exciting time to be a Star Wars fan, and this year is proving to be no exception.
