The Princess brought back a Suzannah London dress for an engagement at Evelina London Children’s Hospital today.
Below, the Princess with a young patient and his family.

We learn more from this People piece.
Kate, who has been patron of the children’s hospital since 2018, started her visit on July 6 in Edward ward, where she met children being treated on the new cardiac ward that brings together children’s heart, lung and intensive care specialists onto a single site.
[The Princess] sat down on a hospital bed as she chatted with a young boy and his parents, with the family showing the royal some of his Paw Patrol toys and a Winnie the Pooh stuffed animal. At one point, the boy and Kate blew kisses to each other.

Evelina’s story on its site about today’s visit has additional details.
Mandy Sekhon, whose 3-year-old son Arjun met The Princess during the visit, said:
“It was absolutely amazing to meet Her Royal Highness. She was really interested in why Arjun has been admitted for so long, his progress and how we’re coping. She took the time to speak to us and made us feel very at ease. She even caught a flying kiss from Arjun at the end, which was lovely. It was a really special moment for our family.

We return to Simon Perry’s People piece.
During her visit, she met the children’s cancer specialists and heard about a planned collaboration with experts from the Royal Marsden hospital, where Princess Kate underwent chemotherapy and other treatment for her cancer, and fellow London hospital St. George’s. The union with teams from Evelina London’s special teams and the two hospitals will create a cancer and blood and marrow transplant service called the Children’s Cancer Principal Treatment Centre, which will serve children in south London and southeast England with complex and rare medical conditions.
Here you see the Princess with Hope, a 14-year-old patient at the hospital, and her mother, Connie. The Mirror reports Hope “recently suffered a relapse of heart problems she had suffered since birth and collapsed at home but was hoping to go home soon.”

During today’s engagement, the Princess met “…children being treated on the ward and their families, to learn about their experiences and how this new ward has been designed to welcome families from across London to a bright and child-friendly environment,” per a Kensington Palace news release.

Such a tiny little patient.

And from The Daily Mail’s coverage.
‘Are you the Queen?’ 10-year-old cardiac patient Ejran queried, before Catherine replied: ‘No, I’m the Princess of Wales.’
When ‘brave’ Ejran, who has been receiving treatment at the medical facility near Westminster, shook his head in response to Catherine asking if he had ‘made some nice friends’, she encouragingly replied: ‘Maybe they haven’t come along yet.’

The Mirror shares Ejran’s future plans in this article.
Ejran, 10, who has been in hospital for a month suffering from serious cardiac problems, gave her the thumbs up afterwards, saying the encounter had been “amazing”.
“I want to meet the King now,” he said.
The youngster told Kate how he had written a poem about Shrek, to which the princess told him how her three children all loved the animated film.
Rebecca English of The Daily Mail shared a video of the Princess’s conversation with Ejran.

The Telegraph reports, “Her private secretary could later be seen handing the boy’s father a business card and asking him to send the poem so the Princess could keep her word.”

It looks like she made a new friend.

Also on today’s agenda, hearing about the hospital’s expansion plans.

We learn details from the Evelina story about today’s royal visit.
Staff explained how Evelina London’s future expansion programme will increase capacity for specialist care, diagnostics, surgery and critical care. Since opening in 2005, demand for Evelina London’s services has tripled, with around 104,000 children and young people receiving care each year.
The Evelina London team were also able to share their exciting plans for a new hospital building, expected to open in the early 2030s, and the vital role played by Evelina London Children’s Charity in helping to fund this expansion.

Before she left, the Princess met 5-year-old Amelie.

And enjoyed the scent of the beautiful posy Amelie had for her.

A wave from the Princess.

Now for our look at what Kate wore.

We begin with her Flippy Wiggle Dress ($3800) by Suzannah London, a shirtdress in silk crepe. It is described as “A re-interpretation from our own vintage archive, with our original inspiration deriving from a late 1940s Wiggle Dress, which we have re-cut to have it skim over the bodice with a fluid, gentle, soft movement throughout the skirt, from the hips to the hemline. The silhouette is contoured around the waist and front yoke with delicate pin-tucks, designed to be an elegant tea-length featuring beautiful half-length sleeves with a buttoned cuff.”

The design also includes contrasting silk-covered buttons, and a double-breasted bodice that descends to a single-breasted style skirt. It is lined in silk habotai, a lightweight material with a smooth finish.
This is the fifth time the Princess has worn the dress publicly. She first wore it to Wimbledon in 2019, then again in August 2020 for a Baby Basics engagement, for a memorial service in June 2022, and again beneath an Eponine coat to visit a pub in 2023 during the run-up to the 2023 Coronation Weekend, and then today’s engagement.

Middleton Maven suggests the belt is from Self-Portrait’s Cream 3D Flower Polka Dot Midi Dress, and I think she is probably correct.
The Princess debuted new shoes by British brand Camilla Elphick, the designer’s Lucia in black. The Princess owns this in tan, and the style features a pointed toe, an angular 3″ heel, and the brand’s distinctive pearl-embellished circular buckle on the adjustable ankle strap.

We saw the return of the Princess’s Annoushka Pearl Drops ($625) with the Kiki McDonough 18K Gold and Diamond Hoops (£1000).

The Princess also wore the string bracelet seen last week.

As many readers suggested, the bracelet was made by Princess Charlotte. Rebecca English of The Daily Mail posted on social media, “The bracelet worn by The Princess today was made by Princess Charlotte for her mum when she undertook the Three Peaks.”

Also today, coverage of photos released yesterday as the Princess completed the Three Peaks Challenge.

The caption accompanying yesterday’s images is shown below
. From the BBC’s coverage.
She is pictured alongside her children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, and her husband the Prince of Wales after scaling Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) in north Wales last week.
Catherine, 44, previously said the challenge, which involves climbing the highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours, had been a “chance to explore life beyond diagnosis and to give something back”.
Catherine summitted England’s Scafell Pike, Scotland’s Ben Nevis, and finished on Yr Wyddfa where the reunion was held.
The family photo shows Prince William, the three Wales children, the Princess’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, as well as her brother, James:
