The Witcher 3 2026 DLC Appears Online Ahead Of Official Reveal

Since The Witcher 4 was first announced back in 2024, rumors have begun to circulate about a potential The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt DLC which could bridge the gap between the events of the 2015 RPG and the upcoming sequel, which will see Ciri take over Geralt as our main protagonist.

As we already know, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has already welcomed two DLCs since its launch: Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, both of which were met with critical acclaim and praised for adding more lore and content to the already award-winning RPG. As such, it is no surprise that fans have always been eager for more, especially as there will be quite a large gap between the events of The Witcher 3 and The Witcher 4. Although this gap could obviously be explained throughout The Witcher 4, there is no denying that it would be a cool idea to release a third DLC which will explain it just as well. Not only that, but it will make the wait for The Witcher 4 that little bit easier.

With rumors that the third DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will release this September, it is yet to be confirmed by CD Projekt RED itself. However, new evidence supports the idea that this could indeed be true. Recently, Twitter/X user chaosxfhy (it has since been deleted) discovered a LinkedIn profile which says, “working on “gameplay systems and UI elements” on a Witcher project since January 2026 in REDengine and WitcherScript.” On the surface, this may not look like anything exciting, and many would assume it is just referring to work on The Witcher 4. However, the most telling bit of information here, is that CDPR stopped using REDengine when it began work on The Witcher 4, which could possibly mean that, if it is still being used in this instance, it is being used for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt or, more specifically, its third DLC.

The LinkedIn account in question comes from a UI Programmer who works for Yigsoft, a company that has worked alongside CD Projekt RED on many of its hit projects, including The Witcher 3 Complete Edition, The Witcher 3 mod support, Cyberpunk 2077 and its expansion Phantom Liberty. As such, it would make sense for the two studios to work together once more for the unannounced DLC.

So, the question remains. Will there be a third The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt DLC? If so, when will it be released? With CDPR hard at work on The Witcher 4, we still do not have a release window, and so any way to bridge the gap would be highly appreciated by fans. For now, all we can do is wait and see if all of these rumors finally come true.
