Courtney Barnett is again together with her first new music in two years. The Australian indie rocker has shared the brand new tune “Keep in Your Lane” together with a music video directed by filmmaker Alex Ross Perry. Test it out under.

Barnett recorded “Keep in Your Lane” to work by the stress of bottling up emotions and an airing of grievances. Becoming a member of her within the Los Angeles studio to report had been Warpaint drummer Stella Mozgawa, the Final Shadow Puppets’ Zach Dawes on bass, and John Congleton behind the boards as a producer. Per a press launch, Barnett has been “quietly making her dwell return” by road-testing new music at intimate exhibits recently. On October 22, the singer-songwriter will carry “Keep in Your Lane” to the nationwide stage by performing the brand new tune on The Tonight Present With Jimmy Fallon.

Though Barnett put out End of the Day in 2023, her final studio album was technically 2021’s Things Take Time, Take Time, as that current LP was an instrumental report that includes music Barnett conceived for the documentary movie Anonymous Club. Her subsequent full-length report would be the fifth studio album of her profession.
