Xbox Game Pass ended April in a big way, offering up a couple day-one releases and some bonus free games to various tiers, and May is already off to a great start. However, even if you aren’t a Game Pass member, you currently have access to a $60 game that’s 100% free. You don’t need Game Pass or any gimmicks. All you need is an Xbox and an internet connection.

The news was shared on the official Xbox website, which revealed multiple free games for those with an Xbox Game Pass subscription. However, one title is free for all, but there’s a caveat that the offer is ending really soon. If you’re looking for something free to play this weekend, then you should definitely consider giving this one a shot.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is completely free for all Xbox users right now. No, you don’t need Game Pass to play it. There is a catch, however: It’s part of Free Play Days this weekend, so the offer is expiring really soon (about 24 hours from right now). Per the listing on Xbox’s official website, it’s free from April 30 until May 3, 2026.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is known for its 3v3 battles and deep roster, but it also has a solo mode. It has a solid 87 on Metacritic and a respectable 7.9 user score. Our review of the game in 2018 hailed it as “the best Dragon Ball game ever” at the time. You can read ScreenRant’s 8/10 review here. In other words, if you’re a Dragon Ball fan and haven’t given this one a shot, now is definitely the time to do so.

While playing Dragon Ball FigherZ for free on Xbox is about to expire soon, the game is also discounted on Xbox’s storefront. While it typically runs for $59.99, you can snag it at a deep discount for only $8.99. The offer is part of this promotion, however, so that deal isn’t going to be available for much longer either.

And if you do have Game Pass, this weekend’s Free Play Days also include Railway Empire 2, NBA Bounce, and Predator: Hunting Grounds. Those first two games also expire on May 3, but you’ll be able to give Predator: Hunting Grounds a shot until May 4. They’re all available on the Ultimate, Premium, and Essential tiers of Xbox Game Pass. And like Dragon Ball FighterZ, they also come with various discounts for a limited time.
