The much-anticipated second volume of Stranger Things Season 5 is just around the corner. Ahead of its release, the makers have unveiled the runtime of the upcoming episodes. The second volume of the last season will be released on December 26, followed by the final volume on January 1st.
Co-creator Ross Duffer revealed that the fifth episode, Shock Jock, will be 1 hour and 8 minutes, followed by Escape from Camazotz, which has a run time of 1 hour and 15 minutes. The 7th episode, titled The Bridge, will run for 1 hour and 6 minutes, followed by the last episode, Rightside Up. It will be the longest episode of the season with a runtime of 2 hours and 8 minutes.

The new trailer of Volume 2 shows Eleven joining hands with her sister Kali or 008 to track and kill Vecna. On the other hand, Dustin and his group realise that everything they figured out about Upside Down so far is dead wrong. Joyce, Mike and others also try to use Will against Vecna, since he, too, now has powers similar to Eleven and Vecna.
Season 5 Volume 1 Recap
In Volume 1, we saw that Vecna appears as his human form, Henry Creel and tries to manipulate and abduct twelve children. He approaches them as Mr Whatsit and promises to protect them from the monsters haunting Hawkings. He targets Mike and Nancy’s sister, Holly Wheeler and takes her to the Upside Down. As her mind is trapped in one of Henry’s memories, she meets Max Mayfield, whose body is in a coma, but whose mind is trapped. Max reveals to her the truth about Henry, aka Vecna, and they both plan to escape.
On the other hand, we see that the military has captured Kali, or 008, one of the kids on whom Dr Brenner had conducted experiments. Just like he did with Henry and Eleven. With El rescuing her, they are expected to team up against their common enemy.
The biggest reveal was Will tapping into his powers. Seeing his friends and mother on the verge of getting killed by Demogorgons, Will unleashes his psychic powers and destroys the creatures the same way Henry once killed his victims. Blood trickles from his nose as fans had predicted for years, confirming that Will possesses abilities that have been dormant since his time in the Upside Down.

The second volume of the fifth season will be released in India on December 26, 2025, at 6:30 AM IST.
