Following his big screen debut through animation, Spider-Man Noir is now getting his live-action Marvel due through the world of television.

CCXP Mexico 2026, which ScreenRant is a media partner for, brought the focus to the iconic web-slinger, as Spider-Noir took the stage, with ScreenRant’s own Graeme Guttmann in attendance, where new, exciting details were revealed about the upcoming Marvel TV show. During the panel, Prime Video debuted a brand new Spider-Noir trailer, as the launch of the series is officially only one month away. Check it out below, both in black-and-white as well as in color:

The new trailer showcases more of the Spider-Noir cast surrounding Ben Reilly in the show, particularly the villains from the Marvel lore that the live-action drama will be utilizing, as Brendan Gleeson’s Silvermane is not only dealing with the web-crawler as his only threat. Throughout the footage, more focus is put on the characters of Tombstone, Megawatt, and Sandman, played by Abraham Popoola, Andrew Lewis Caldwell, and Jack Huston, respectively.

The Spider-Noir trailer also sheds some light on Ben’s own trauma, as he hasn’t been himself since someone in his life passed away. The horror elements are also shown more closely, from an army of spiders to someone mutating into a man-spider. The latest presentation also begins to unveil more of the dynamic between Cage’s Marvel hero and Li Jun Li’s Cat Hardy, as the two seemingly begin to bond. More action and web-slinging are also featured throughout the trailer for the Marvel series.

The Spider-Noir TV show takes place in an alternative universe, showing a side of the web-slinger’s canon through the 1930s lens, with Cage’s character operating as the Spider rather than Spider-Man. While he won’t be Peter Parker, there is a plot reason for why the name Ben Reilly is being used, according to the executive producer, Phil Lord, as he stated earlier this year, “I have to be coy about the reasons, because you’ll find out. The reason he’s named Ben Riley is explained,” while Chris Miller added, “We’ll leave it at that.”

While Sony has traditionally focused on keeping the hero in live-action through the big screen, this is the first proper live-action Spider-Man TV show, and possibly the start of several more. According to Spider-Noir showrunner Oren Uziel, there are projects in the works for multiple Spider-Man variants that will take a similar approach to Cage’s upcoming project. Given the massive success of the Spider-Verse franchise from Miller and Lord, there are countless characters that could get their own show, and finally bring alternative versions into the world of live-action.

There is no word yet on whether Spider-Noir season 2 will happen, but it hasn’t been ruled out. In an interview with SFX Magazine in April, Uziel teased that, given the setting of the series, there are numerous directions for them to take with Cage’s protagonist in additional seasons, saying, “One thing I love about the genre is that when you have a private detective, all it takes is a knock on the office door and a new client walks in… Whether it’s New York or a different setting, I really feel like this is a great jumping-off point to expand your story.”

Uziel added, “Obviously, as time passes from 1933, we’re heading towards not just trouble in the financial markets in New York, but also a geopolitical struggle that would be an amazing canvas for any future storytelling.”

Spider-Noir is set to premiere on MGM+ on May 25, with the whole season then getting released on Prime Video worldwide, with both the black-and-white and color versions being available.
